I have a customer who has a 1P8S pack, he then stacks 4 of these packs for a total of 102.4V. Is it acceptable to use two BQ77915 in a pack and then stack them altogether or are we limited to a certain total voltage? Thanks!
Hi Will,
I recommend reading the first question of Section 3: Troubleshooting FAQ on the Stacking implementations application note.
There is no technical limitation on the number of devices in a stack, although there is a larger amount of noise on the control signals and a greater logic propagation delay for each device in the stack. Your customer will have to consider these effects in their application.
I hope this answers your question!
