Hi, Support Team

Does TPS27SA08 high side switch protector has NO load (light load)sense and adjustable current by protect Mechanism?

if any suggestion, Please advise me.

    Hi Lawrence, 

    The TPS27SA08 has a set current limit of 20A typical and is not adjustable. 

    Alternatively, the TPS1HA08-Q1 however, has an set current limit of either 20 A or 80 A, or 

    the TPS1HB08-Q1 has an adjustable current limit from 6.4 A to 70 A or set at 94A. 

    Each of these three devices provides open-load detection when the device is disabled. 

    For open load detection in the ON state, your current sense pin can be used to detect whether no current is being drawn by the load.

    you means TPS27SA08 heavy load cuttent is current limitated, we only could be setted open load(light load)tirigger point currents,does it?

    Hi Lawrence, 

    I am not sure if I understand your question. 

    The open load detection will only be enabled when DIA_EN=HIGH and EN=LOW. 

    If DIA_EN=HIGH and EN=HIGH, analog sense can be used to identify an open-load event using the load current.
