TPS7A52: Power Good

Hello team,

I have a question about power good of TPS7A52.

I see the table2 and Figure29 in the datasheet, It seems that VBIAS is required.


However I plan not to use VBIAS because Vin is larger than 1.4V.
I would like confirm whether power good works well in Vin >1.4V, EN=1 and without BIAS case.

Would you please advise?

    Dear Akihisa-san,


    Yes, as VIN is larger than 1.4V, VBIAS is not needed and PG circuit will operate normally without the VBIAS.

    Conditions mentioned in Fig. 29 and Table 2 only represent the conditions when VIN < 1.4V. In that case, VBIAS will be needed for the PG Circuit operation.


    If you look at EC table test conditions, the PG circuit specifications are captured at VBIAS = open conditions when VIN > 1.4V is ensured. 

    Please review and let me know in case further details are needed.
