Hi Team,
Could you please confirm if, with the LM5122, when VIN=20V, VO=24V, IO=6.3A, and under light load conditions, the switch frequency would fall below 25kHz in Forced PWM Mode?
If LM5122 is usable under these conditions, could you also assist in providing a reference circuit? Thank you.
Best,
Scott
HI Scott,
thank you for using the E2E forum.
Please check this reference design - this is very close to your requirements:PMP9484 reference design | TI.com

Hi Stefan,
The response wasn't clear about the conditions LM5122,VIN=20V VO=24V IO=6.3A. When the load is light, if customer choose the Forced PWM Mode, will the switching frequency drop below 25 KHz?
BR,
Scott
Hi Scott,
when the device is configured for FPWM, the frequency will not change (drop to below 25kHz), even in light load but then energy can be pushed back to the input side.
Best regards,
Stefan
