TPS2121: Dual +12V Input to Single +12V Output priority circuit need to find a design solution

HI TI,

I have a PCIe card project, I want to know how to choose a suitable solution for the priority of dual input power supply, can you suggest?

Normally, I want ATX PSU priority to be higher than PCIe slot(The reason is that the power provided by PCIe is not enough).  I'm not sure if my thinking is correct, please correct me if I'm wrong. 

P12V1 = 12V/ 2.1A

P12V2 = 12V/ 3A

    Hi Delun,

    It looks like the TPS2121 would work for your application, as it supports up to 4.5A and can be used to either automatically or manually switch inputs.

    Will you be selecting an input manually (i.e. with GPIO), based on the IN1 voltage, or based on the relationship between IN1 and IN2?
