TPS50601A-SP: Zin for Middlebrook

Part Number: TPS50601A-SP

Hi,

Is there a model that I can use to obtain the Zin vs frequency curve for the TPS50601A-SP.  I looked at the average model and its has a fixed frequency of 100KHz.  My design is operating at 500KHz.  The POL created with the TPS50601A is working in a box with multiple POLs all fed by one power supply, it would be good to get a feeling for whether or not this system meets the Middlebrook stability criteria.

Thanks!

Susan

  • Hey Susan,

You should be able to change the switching frequency in the average model by editing the parameter.
That being said our AC models are not tested for looking at Middlebrook stability criteria.

AC models for a buck converter are simply a model of the poles and zeros you can expect in your typical Bode plot.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
