UCC2895-EP: Need to compare it with UCC2895-Q1

Part Number: UCC2895-EP

Team,

customer is evaluating the usage of UCC2895MDWREP to replace temporarlily the UCC2895QDWRQ1, and found some datasheet difference that want to understand:

AECQ100 version:

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS (continued)

Output VOH High-level output voltage (all outputs) IOUT = –10 mA, VDD to output 250 420 mV

EP version:

OUTPUT VOH (all outputs) IOUT = –10 mA, VDD to output 250 400 mV

Can you clairfy why?

Regards, Fernando

  • Hello,

I am reviewing your inquiry and will get back to you shortly.

  • Hello,

I am not really sure why there is a 20 mV difference between the devices for this specification.  However they are two different devices and they are tested to the specifications based on the data sheets. So the data sheets should be accurate.

This 20 mV difference should not be critical because the output is driven off of VDD that could vary from 8.2 to 11.8 V when the device is operating.  This is based on VDDon and VDDoff.  20 mV difference is less than 0.3% of the out voltage.  So I don't think this should be critical.

One other thing is that the specification in question is an absolute maximum.  I believe the topicals for this parameters are the same which means one of the devices has a wider specification range.
