Hello Cao,
We are looking into this right, now but to better assist you, may I ask that you are trying to find the maximum voltage on the VBACKUP as to not cause a burnout of the LDOVRTC?
From the datasheet(TPS6594-Q1 DATASHEET) at section 7.3 Recommended Operating Conditions
Whether the LDO can be mounted on VBACKUP, and if so, how much voltage differential is maintained between it and VRTC?We want to replace the RTC backup battery with an LDO
Thank you so very much for the clarification Cao!
With this I can now start looking for those answers, please do allow some time for that.
Currently RTC was with the intention of a battery as there is an option to charge the battery when VCCA is within a certain range.
Hello Cao,
as a reminder the intention of the VBACKUP was for a battery in mind.
You can place an LDO on the pin with the nominal voltage of 3V3, but we recommend a coin cell battery instead.
Hope that helps,
Nicholas
