LM63625-Q1: LM63625 Pspice for TI- AC sweep

Part Number: LM63625-Q1

Hi there,

I ran into some problems when I tried to use LM63625 Q1-Transient PSPICE model embedded in PspiceforTI to run ac sweep. (Vin=12V, Vout=3.3V, Iout=2A)

The bias point it calculate it's not in steady state, so the ac sweep value for GM/PM are not correct.

Despite the fact that I already set all the IC(initial value) of inductor and capacitor to their steady value, it took  60us for LM63625 reach its steady state(SS=1,FASTSS=1). so, my questions are :

1. Is there any way can run ac sweep with PspiceforTI with TI_IC model?

2. If yes, how to change its DC bias point not at t=0 to conduct ac sweep with PspiceforTI?

  • Hi Yao-Hung,

Thank you for designing with our product.  However, I don't think you can use the mode to sweep for Bode Plots.  The online model supports transient simulations, but not for ac analysis. Sorry that we don't have the averaged model available for AC analysis. Instead, you can do the following to check the loop stability:

    • Use our design calculator to calculate the Bode Plots:  https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SNVC239
    • Use Webench to simulate the Bode Plots.
    • Use the transient Pspice mode to run a step load to see the output response.

    Best Regards,

    Youhao
