Hello guys,

One of my customers is looking for Li-ion battery charger with micro computer.
It is OK that the micro computer performance is low because they want to control LED indicator and read switch status.

Does TI have such device?

Hi Kazuya,

TI BCP group chargers do not have micro computer and firmware. They have digital state machines that control and monitor analog feedback loops. Many of our chargers have a STAT and PG pins for driving LEDS. The host controlled parts have I2C registers that report status and faults. What is the input voltage and battery configuration? What is the desired charge current?

I understood.

The customer has already been using TI charger IC, BQ25730 with other company micro computer.
For cost down and avoiding micro computer delivery trouble,
they thought it is better that TI has Li-ion battery charger with low performance micro computer.
