TPS62A01: Switching Node at Light Load

Part Number: TPS62A01

Hello,

At light load, the switching node is... confusing. I wonder if something is wrong.

Vin=3.9V
Vout=3.1V (although the scope measures 3.2V...)
Iout=110-120mA (MCU running)

Ringing frequency is 20MHz and decays to 3.2V so that's some switching node ringing in DCM. However, it overshoots quite high!! It is actually busting
the absolute maximum value of the SW pin (VIN+0.3).

I'm not used to see such ringing in DCM. Since it busts the absolute max, I guess I no choice but to add a snubber...  That's one problem.

The downslope of ~150mV during the on-time is also weird to me.  First time I stumble on that.  Input voltage is stable; noise is ~30mVpp at C24 and waveform is nowhere near a downslope.

The "3-pulse" pattern might be from the PSM.  I don't know..

Explanations and advices are welcome.

Regards,

Frederic
