TPS3704-Q1: Hardware combability up to ASIL-A VS System combability up to ASIL-D

Part Number: TPS3704-Q1

Hi, Team:

Can you help to check and advise how to understand Hardware combability up to  ASIL-A VS System combability up to  ASIL-D?

It will be better if you can have a example for this.

Thanks

  • BTW, can you help to share me the FMEDA link or document?

  • Hello,

The text "Hardware capability up to ASIL A " means TPS3704-Q1 its self is a ASIL A rated device, additionally it can be used in a system in combination with other ASIL rated devices to reach a system level ASIL rating of D but using TPS3704-Q1 solely does not imply an ASIL D system.

The functional safety documents can be found in the Technical Documentation section of the TPS3704-Q1 product page:
