Hi Steven,
If you are referring to OTP, then the answer is not a simple yes or no. Depending on the device spin you have and if the default OTP settings meet your needs, you may or may not need to rewrite OTP settings. Additionally, OTP ensures that the default settings that are loaded in upon power up are to your liking. You can always load in whatever settings you would like each time the device powers up instead of programming OTP.

Hi Steven,
You should use the EV2400 for communication between a custom board with the BQ76952 and BQStudio.
If you have a BQ76952 EVM, then you can connect the EVM to BQStudio using the micro USB port on the EVM. A simply micro USB to USB cord should work in this scenario.

Hi Andria,
I've purchased the EV2400, its detecting the IC but I can't see that particular number anywhere. I can see 7694_0_24-bq76942.bqz and 7694_0_28-bq76942.bqz in the monitor section, am I to use one of them?
Kind regards
Steve
Hi Steve,
Can you please send me an image of your board so I can see the jumper placements you have on the EVM?
Best,
Andria
