Hi Yang,
Can you elaborate what do you mean by hardware IDs? Are you referring to the PD device I2C address or something else?
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond Lin
Hi, Raymond,
Please refer to the photo. It pertains to the HARDWARE IDs on the WINDOWS10 DEVICE MANAGER. On my INTEL NUC11PHKI7C mainboard, there is a TPS65988 device with an exclamation mark and ERROR CODE 10. According to the INTEL official website, the correct HARDWARE IDs should be VEN_8086&DEV_3515. I would like to attempt repairing the hardware IDs to the correct ones.
Thanks.
Hi Yang,
I'll need to look into this further, when did this issue first appeared and does it re-appear even after power cycling?
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond Lin
Hi Yang,
Unfortunately this is not within our scope of support, you will need to contact the computer manufacturer on this matter for software/firmware update.
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond Lin
Hi Yang,
We have tools to design the PD configuration for how it behaves, however this requires system level knowledge of the motherboard (schematic, design, parts surrounding the PD) and design requirements only the manufacturer would know. The software/firmware you're looking for will most likely come from the manufacturer end.
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond Lin
Hi, Raymond,
May I ask why only the attached driver doesn't cause an exclamation mark in Device Manager? Both newer and older versions of the driver result in an exclamation mark.
P.S. The Type-C port is non-functional regardless of the presence of an exclamation mark.
Hi Yang,
You will need to contact the driver manufacturer on version details, this is not something we can support.
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond Lin
