Power supply Circuit for 16CH TIA and Op-Amp.

Hi,

What kind of ICs can I use for Power supply Circuit for 16CH Balanced Photodetectors, TIAs and Operational Amplifiers?

- 16 ch BPD : Vr 5V

- 16 ch TIAs : LMH34400 - two ports at VDD = 3.3V, IDC_EN = 3.3V

- 16 ch Op-Amps : OPA847 Vs= ±5V

If possible, I want to minimize its quantity.

And I am not sure that those components in parallel (or in series) can work with power supplier.

    Could you please clarify your Vin/Vout/Iout requirements for each rails? You only mentioned Vout requirement, we don't know your Vin and Iout requirements.

    I think I have to use a converter that converts 220V into Vin of power supply ICs.

    As far as I know, I can find 5V adaptor that is a common DC supplier from where I live.

    But if this adaptor is not enough to supply 16CH ICs with power, I can choose other one.

    I can't know how much Iout does it need in my board.

    So I am not sure but, 160mA+400mA+ 304mA = total comes about 1A

    - 16 ch BPD : Vr 5V, 10mA each

    - 16 ch TIAs : LMH34400 - two ports at VDD = 3.3V, IDC_EN = 3.3V, 25mA each

    - 16 ch Op-Amps : OPA847 Vs= ±5V, 18.1mA each

  • Hello Soengjin,

    Do you have power-on sequence requirement? If not, you may use one multi-channel part to output 5V and 3.3V, and use one part to output -5V.

    And as you said, you need an AC adapter to convert 220VAC into low DC voltage. Assuming the DC voltage is 12V. Please consider below devices:

    1. TPS62933x: the buck can be configured to inverting buck-boost to output -5V. Please refer to this AN

    2. TPS54294: two 2A channels to output 3.3V and 5V.
