Do we have any concern if we use BQ24781R as the 2nd source for BQ24780S?

Could you provide a comparison table for BQ24780S and BQ24781R?

Hi Far,

We recommend to use BQ24800 which is a newer version of BQ24780S. The difference is the BQ24800 has added battery boost mode feature to regulate system power rail above minimum system voltage until battery is fully discharged. There are 4 switching frequency options: 300kHz, 400kHz, 600kHz, and 800kHz. It is pin to pin with BQ24780S.

Hi Jing,

Does it means that BQ24780S and BQ24800 can use a common EC code(register setting)?

Hi Far,

Most of the registers remain the same. However, there are added configuration for the battery boost mode and peak power mode features in the BQ24800 register.
