TPS922053: CIN datasheet information does not fit with EVM board

Here's the typical application for TPS922055 24-V Input, 3-A, 8-piece WLED Driver With Analog Dimming (page 19 of TPS92205x datasheet)

and the comment about CIN:

However in the EVM board CIN's are tied as shown

The typical application described in the datasheet shows CIN connected to AGND and PGND whereas in the EVM CIN is only connected to PGND.

Could anybody clarify this?

Hi Gaston,

The decoupling capacitor for VIN should be placed between VIN and AGND. Normally a 100-nF ceramic capacitor is ok. You can refer to the below picture for the correct connection.

Indeed, this is what the datasheet states. But why isn't it this way on the eval board?

As indicated in the previous post, CIN is placed between VIN and PGND in the EVM board
