TPS55288: PSPICE Simulation not working

Hi,

I am trying to run a PSPICE simulation of TPS55288. Vin = 12V, Vout = 9V,3A.
The circuit I am simulating is a replication of the one suggested on WeBench designer. The only difference is that I have connected the I2C pins to ground, as unconnected pins throw another error.
However, on running the simulation I get an error as attached in the image. The convergence error is always thrown at Time = 100.0E-06.

The circuit I am simulating is as below. Please let me know, if there is an error in the circuit or there is some other problem.

May I know where do you download the library file? We have released the PSpice model for TPS55288 on the product page, you can use that for simulation.

I have downloaded the library file from the TPS55288 product page. And I am running the simulation on Pspice for TI also downloaded from the product page.

Hi Shwetanshu,

I added the lib file of TPS55288, changed some circuit parameter and modified the simulation setting, the schematic is ok to run now with the ideal Buck side FET. I have sent the file to you, you can try with the real MOSFETs.

Hi Bryce,

I tried running the simulation with the simulation settings that you sent. The simulation speed is still very slow, and the output voltage settles at 1V above of what the circuit is designed for. Can you suggest why this might be happening?

Hi Shwetanshu,

The simulation speed is low with PSpice compared with other simulation tool. So if you want to check many items with PSpice which would cost a lot of time.

The internal reference voltage is set at 1.24V, so you would see the output voltage is higher than target value.
