LM51501-Q1: LM51501-Q1 eCall mode RSET issue

Part Number: LM51501-Q1

Hi expert,

There is a question: in ecall mode, if 6.5V output is selected, the resistor can only use 71.5 Kohm?

Is there a range for this resistor with ecall mode& Vout = 6.5V?

Thanks

Xiaoxiang

  • Hi Xiaoxiang,

Thanks for using the e2e forum.
There are margins to this resistance with 71.5 kOhm being the recommended value for Vout = 6.5V.
The regulation target will always be set to one of the given voltages, so for example, if a resistor between two target voltages is chosen, the regulation will either go to 6.0V or 6.5V and there is no setting in between.

If no 71.5 kOhm resistor is available, what would be the alternative resistance customer would like to choose?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Niklas

  • Hi Niklas,

    Thanks for your help.

If no 71.5 kOhm resistor is available, what would be the alternative resistance customer would like to choose?

If the customer needs 6.5V voltage in ECALL mode, do we have the corresponding resistance range?

    Thanks

    Xiaoxiang

  • Hi Xiaoxiang,

I do not know the threshold value, where the regulation will switch to the next output value. There is also no range given in the datasheet.
My recommendation is to choose a resistance as close to the 71.4 kOhm as possible.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
