UCC21750-Q1: If AIN Pin can connect to Amplifier 's output?

Part Number: UCC21750-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21750, OPA333

Dears:

Customer want to connect a Amplifier to UCC21750's AIN Pin, As their is 200uA constant current source in AIN Pin, please help check if this way can work well. Thanks.

  • Hi Haiwen,

Yes an amplifier is a great idea if your sensor has a high-Z output. It looks like you have a difference amplifier configuration, and Vref (top of R677) is ground. Is the input signal differential? The input range of AIN is 0.6V to 4.5V, so maybe you should use a 2.5V Vref instead. For this purpose, you could use a 20k +20k resistor divider from 5V to 0V to create a 10k, 2.5k Thevinin equivalent Vref.

OPA333 would be a good high precision amplifier for this task.

    Best regards,

    Sean
