Battery system recommendations - BMS and protection

Hello,

Our client has hired us to design a battery system around 21700 Lithium batteries. The batteries are configured in 5S - 2P configuration. This gives a pack voltage range of 15.0~21.0 V. The batteries power a BLDC motor which has a nominal current at 66A and stall current at 326A.

I am looking for you recommendations regarding the subsystems and its components to make a reliable and safe battery system. If possible we would like to use stand-alone ICs which do not require MCU interface (but can have this possibility nevertheless) since we are looking to minimize any FW development efforts.

BMS recomendations?

Protection recomendations?

Anything else?
