Need a charger and a monitor for a NMC Battery

Our chargers supports Li-ion batteries. Most of the host controlled charger devices has flexible charging parameters can be set in the registers. Do you have the battery specification that you can share? Also please be more specific on the charging requirement in order for us to recommend a charger IC that best meets your requirement (VIN, # of cells in series, charge current, any charging related requirements, etc.)

thank you very much for your reply. Are there charger ICs of a standalone type available for the mentioned battery? In case of charging we want to connect a simple 5V or 12V power supply to the device. So we would like to avoid a communication between the charger and the device. Or is it feasible that the device is the host by itself?

The BQ25616 is designed to get information which defines the charging parameters about the D+ and D- inputs. Is it also possible to just connect a voltage to the following pins:

• VBUS
• VAC

Would that enter the "unknown adapter mode" and the charging current is defined by ILIM? So should I leave the inputs floating to always enter the "unknown adapter mode" or should I tie them to HIGH or LOW?

I have some further Questions:

• What is the difference between input current limit and charging current (this values are adjustable with resistors at ILIM and ICHG)
• When I define 300mA as chargin current is that only for charging the battery, or is it also used to supply my system with power?

Thank you. Does that mean that the inductor current is I_L = (I_chg + I_sys) + I_ripple/2? Because equation 6 from the datasheet only takes the I_chg into account.

Thank you very much. When I connect a input voltage and my battery charge is low, does the voltage of V_Sys follows the voltage of my battery or is V_Sys stable on the voltage I configured with the V_Set Pin?

Thanks. The Datasheet says that the maximum sinking current on PG- and Stat-Pin is 6mA. But there is no current for continuous operation. I want to drive an LED with the open drain outputs with a current of 5mA. Is that permissible?
