LP38501-ADJ: Pin function doubt

Part Number: LP38501-ADJ

Datasheet Link: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lp38501-adj.pdf?ts=1692775214135&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FLP38501-ADJ%252Fpart-details%252FLP38501ATJ-ADJ%252FNOPB

In the pin function table I find that pin type of Adj pin is given as Output. The output voltage is fed as input to this pin so it should be given as input right?

  • Hey Suresh,

Thank you for the question and finding this! This is a mistake in the datasheet. The ADJ pin is an input to the control-loop error amplifier. This pin is used to set the output voltage of the device with the use of external resistors.

Thanks, let me know if you have any other questions.

    McKyla
