Inquire about the operation of the BQ4050.

It is operating as follows.

- Current voltage: 13.2 volts (battery voltage)
- Discharge voltage: 0V (keep cut off)
- During charging: Charging to 2A is normal

problem
a. When discharging, the voltage is not output and remains shut off, and when the Wake Switch is pressed, the voltage is output only while it is pressed.
b. It should automatically wake up when charging, but it only lasts for a while when charging, and drops to 0V as soon as charging stops (maintain blocking)

Hello David,

Have you set the correct number of cells for your application in DA Config Register? It sounds like the gauge may keep trying to shutdown if you have to hold the wakeup button to maintain output voltage.

Can you provide the .gg file and a picture of the BQStudio registers page when you are holding the wakeup button?

Hello David,

It looks like you have sent the PCHG_TOGGLE and CHG_TOGGLE commands to manually test the FETs, there's no voltage on the output because the DSG_TOGGLE command wasn't sent. When you press the wakeup button it will apply a voltage to the PACK side through a resistor, this is most likely the voltage you are seeing, it doesn't indicate that the FETs are on.
