BQ76952: BQ76952 After multiple I2C communication failures have been restored, the Alarm Status [FULLSCAN] cannot be set to 1

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi

The customer test with BQ76952, when using BQ76952 for I2C communication, the host is STM32F103,  and I2C communication failures have been manually made many times.

After i2c returns to communication through 9 SCLs, it can be seen through the logic analyzer that CC2Current current information can be read normally, but cannot be read when AlarmStatus is read.

Can not read the data with the FULLSCAN flag set to 1. This happened by chance.

What is the reason for this issue?

Thanks

  • Hi Star,

    Can you provide some clarification?

How is the customer causing a communication failure?

When the FULLSCAN flag is set (0x62 [7]) are they unable to read any data from the device?

Can you provide the images from the logic analyzer showing this behavior?

    Regards,
