LM4050-N-Q1: About capacitive load and inrush current of LM4050

Part Number: LM4050-N-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4040,

Hi team,

My customer use LM4050 to replace Diodes LM4040.

Input voltage is 6.5V, input resistor is 150 ohm. They connect 2 22uF capacitor at output node.

In Diodes LM 4040's experiment, when output voltage reach 5V, there is a large current appears in LM4040(6.5V/150ohm). This feature may be the root cause of LM4040 failure.

Here is LM4040(Diodes)'s waveform:

Q1: Will the inrush current happen to our LM4050-N-Q1?

Q2: If it will happen, can our chips stand the current? It only lasts for several mirco-seconds, but 40mA is beyond the operational current of 15mA for LM4050.

Q3: Can our customer use such a big capacitor at output(44uF)?

Thanks!
