Dear Community,

I'm using a BQ21080and i have some difficulty with Wake up and Sleep mode .

> Schematic exactly as recommended (show in datasheet)

> all register in default mode (the I2C not implemented).

When the device is ON, i'm able to enter in ship mode by push button press during 10sec.

BUT i 'm not able to wake up after.... Do you have more information or explain me how it's work ?

Hi Joseph,

Do you have oscilloscope waveforms you can show where you are pushing the button to enter and attempting to exit ship mode? The following waveforms would be helpful:

VTSMR, VIN, VBAT, VSYS. It'd be good to see the button push to enter and exit.

Can you also describe whether you have VIN or just VBAT present?

OK, thanks for your reply.
I will check all waveform with my scope.

Do you confirm that with a BQ with standart register value, WakeUp and enter in sleep mode is done by press the button during 10sec ?

Hi Joseph,

Yes, the device defaults with SHIP mode by pressing the button for 10 seconds with VIN removed. You can find these defaults in the datasheet.
