BQ40Z80: PIN 15 config not matching SLUUBT5C

Hello,

Based on the above config,

PIN 15 should be GPIO. But my DISP function is activated by above config. 0,1 bits don't enable DISP function. 

Can someone verify my pin config with below?

PIN12: TS3

PIN13: TS4

PIN15: DISP

PIN16: PDSG

PIN17: PRES

    My mistake, PIN15 is actually 10 which is GPIO.

    Yes. This is what I expected. But with this config, my PIN15 is working as DISP. 

    Is there a way to check whether there's a bug or documentation error?

    Hi Saero,

    In the Technical Reference Manual, the description of the Pin Configuration is stated as so:

    I believe that this caused our issue, since it reads SEL0, SEL1 when in bqStudio it reads SEL1, SEL0.

    In the screenshot you have above, you have it set as 01, which is DISP. I would flip those options and try it.

    Hi Saero,

    Have you tried resetting the gauge since making those changes? The gauge will not implement changes unless reset.

    Hello,

    Yes, I have reset gauge after parameter change. 

    I was using pin13 for DISP before. I shifted to PIN15 and seems to work in opposite condition to documentation. 

    Please check the log below with srec file.
    I have trigger DISP twice in log.

    Hello,

    I'm on v0.04.

    Latest one I could find. Were you able to reproduce? My TS3 temperature works when I invert it similar to DISP.

    Hi Saero,

    I have not been able to reproduce the error yet. Using the bq40z80 EVM, the .gg file you sent correctly sends a GPIO signal out of pin 15. Still looking into other aspects that might have created this error.

    Hi Saero,

    I was informed by the firmware team that the v0.04 firmware is not the most recent version. The current v1.0 firmware is the most recent and can be found on the product page for bq40z80.

    Just confirmed with the firmware team that the newer versions are still in the process of getting cleared to be released to the public.

    In the mean time, can you share the schematic you are using for this device?
