LMR51440: Behaviour of device/output in shutdown mode

Part Number: LMR51440

Hi Team,

our customer would like to use the LMR51440 to power a radio. The EN pin will most likely be connected to a MCU that will actively turn on the radio via the supply.

Now it was not 100% clear what the output behaviour was in the shutdown mode. Only description is

8.4.1 Shutdown Mode

The EN pin provides electrical ON and OFF control for the LMR514x0. When VEN is below 0.8 V, the device is in shutdown mode. The LMR514x0 also employs VIN undervoltage lockout protection (UVLO). If VIN voltage is below its UVLO threshold 3.4 V, the converter is turned off.

Could you please provide some extra feedback? Does the device have any true output disconnect or output discharge function? How would the HS & LS FETs be set in case of a shutdown?

Thanks and best regards
Martin
