The schematic says this eval bard has TPS25750 as the USB PD device controller.

Device info (register 0x2f) is: "(TPS65992 HW00A1 FWF509.05.61_0003 ZAceS"

Why the different P/N shown in the device info string?

Hi Kevin,

The TPS65992 is a similar device upon which the TPS25750 is based, it is the same family. This device information is identical for internal purposes. Rest assured, this is intentional and not an error in the device.

thanks...so the EVM is actually populated with the TPS65992?

Hi Kevin,

The EVM is populated with the TPS25750. However, the TPS25750 and TPS65992 are very similar parts and in the same family. This is why the device information for TPS25750 says TPS65992. This string was not changed internally in our device firmware between devices.
