LM5170: The design issue for LM5170

Hi,

We will use the LM5170 for the boost circuit, and we know LM5170 can support the 4-phase or 3-phase operation by SYNCOUT signal,

and we search the LM5170EVM-BIDIR can support the 48V-12V dual battery system applications, the 60-Adc MaximumMultiphase from or into the 12VDC-Port;

Now we want to know if this device can suppor the input voltage 24VDC(Compatible 12VDC system), the output voltage is 48V/60A design,

and please advise if we can design 3-phase or 4-phase to improve the load capacity, thanks.

Hi Zhang,

Thank you for using E2E forums, regarding your query I think if we stack multiple LM5170 it should be able to achieve the design specs you are mentioning. here are a couple of reference designs I could find for LM5170:

- https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01168#parameters it can do 48V output with 41A and a similar input supply voltage.

- https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP22396 this one can go up to 51A.
