UCC29002: Question about 3.3V line.

Part Number: UCC29002

Hi

Trying to load share 3.3v module with UCC29002.
Ask if it is possible because it is outside the voltage range.
If not, please check the possible solution.

Thanks

  • Hello David,

Thank you for your question on the UCC29002 load-share controller.

This device still may be used for 3.3V output current sharing as long as you provide a separate source of bias voltage > 4.6V for the UCC29002.
I suggest to allocate about 5mA current capability to this bias source.
This bias source should be referenced to the UCC29002 GND, and that GND, in turn, should be connected to the negative sense line of the PSU.
All other calculations for component values are the same as for higher output voltages as long as the bias source is high enough.

    Regards,
    Ulrich
