may I know the operation of TPS7A84 when it’s output current exceeds the limitation? How TPS7A84 operates to protect the device from damage? And the protection is auto-retry or latchup? What the kind of overcurrent protection?

The TPS7A84 employs current foldback current limiting. See section 7.3.6 in the datasheet for details.

Hi Ruixin,

I don't see this characterized and it would take us 3 weeks to find out. In general, the current limit inside our LDOs react in approximately 50us.
