BQ27Z561-R2: Successful learning cycle

Part Number: BQ27Z561-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM

We are doing fuel gauge learning cycle.

In learning cycle method firstly, do we need to do update chem I'd in BQ studio.

If chem Id not available means what's the procedure to get the chem Id.

Thank you

  • Hi Rajesh,

Yes, you need to update the chemID in bqStudio before beginning the learning cycle.

There are two ways to go about this, the first is to use the GPCCHEM tool where you can find a chemID which can assist you in finding the correct ChemID.

If there isn't an existing ChemID for the battery you are using, there is a process to send us sample batteries so we can create a ChemID for it.

  • Thank for your reply

Here I have one more dout

I updated the chem Id after I am doing the learning cycle method.

So here what is role of chem Id and if without chem Id ,can i able to do learning cycle?

  • Hi Rajesh,

Below describes that the chemID needs to be programmed before beginning the learning cycle method. Without choosing a chemID before starting the learning cycle method, the Impedance Track algorithm will be much less accurate compared to if it is done with the chemID.
