    Hi Jimmy,

    To help recommend the best device, what is the output current requirement of the LDO in this application? And are there any particular features (ex. enable, power good, etc.) or specs (ex. low quiescent current) that are required or preferred?

    Hi Kelsey,

    Output current about 5mA, 12v transform to 3V for RTC used.

    We choose LP2981-33DBVR.

    Hi Jimmy,

    Thanks for the addition information. Considering the requirements you have listed, yes, LP2981-33DBVR is a good choice, as long as 16V absolute maximum rating on the input voltage is sufficient (ex. as long as the 12V isn't being supplied by an automotive battery that will experience cold crank transients).
