BQ27427: Floating point value modification

We have an embedded application where the chemistry and some other parameters need to be updated by the microcontroller. We can do that via the I2C bus successfully with the exception of CC Gain which needs to be made positive value. It seems that the BQ27427 doesn't use IEEE floating point put some obscure standard called XEMICS. Can you provide a link that will yield some insight on this standard. The link provided that describes XEMICS in a previous question on this forum does not work. Thanks!!!

This gauge uses a non-standard floating point format from Xemics. The floating point format conversion is documented in https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva148a/slva148a.pdf, Appendix A.
