Dear TI experts,
My customer drew their first schematic with BQ40Z50.
They are developing 3S1P and 4S1P at the same time.
Could you review these 2 schematics?
Best regards,
Chase

Hello Chase,
These schematics look good to me, I do not see any issues.

Dear Wyatt,
Thank you for your support.
Could you also review the layout attached below? It is for 3S1P.
Best regards,
Chase
Hello Chase,
Generally the most critical part of the layout is the SRP and SRN connections, they should be kelvin connected, as short as possible, and on the same layer if possible. I would recommend they don't run them through the via they have now and try to keep it the same layer.
Their other power paths look fine to me.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
Dear Wyatt,
My customer modified layout as you suggested. Could you review this layout?
Best regards,
Chase
Hello Chase,
Yes this looks better, traces a shorter and cleaner for SRN/SRP.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
Dear Wyatt,
Thank you for your support.
Is it better to exactly match up the length of 2 lines, SRP and SRN? or is it okay to leave like this length?
Best regards,
Chase
Hello Chase,
SRP and SRN as close to the gauge and equal length as possible is preferred, not required. It looks fine to me.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
Dear Wyatt,
