TPS92520-Q1: question about current sense threshold.

Part Number: TPS92520-Q1

Why typical current sense threshold is 173.0 mv when ILED_REF_DACx = 1023?

173.0 mV mulipled by 14, we get 2.422V and couldn;t achieve full DAC scale 2.45V. This is not fully complied with Iled equation.

Thanks! help me understand.

  • Hello Haigu,

173mV is the typical value that is measured at ATE, not the ideal.  Ideal is 175mV.  This is likely due to a gain error or some other source of error within the control loop.  We have a plot that shows error vs CHxIADJ.

The equation for calculation is ideal.  Of course there are sources of error but we can't create an equations that take all the sources of error into it.
