LM36010EVM: LM36010EVM and LaunchPad

1. Does LaunchPad MSP-EXP430G2ET work for LM36010EVM software communicate with LM36010EVM hardware?

  Sorry, but MSP430G2ET launchpad is not available for the LM36010 software.

2. If answer to question 1 is NO,  which LaunchPad or other offshelf demo board can be used to replace MSP-EXP432P401R completely for this purpose?

  You can purchase USB2ANY, which is an interface adaptor, and I can guide you how to use this tool to communicate with LM36010EVM.

Ives, what the minimum frequency of PWM0, PWM1 and PWM2 of USB2ANY? We needs some trigger signals below 100Hz. And is there a way to generate single pulse with USB2ANY accessible GPIOs?

With the USB2ANY explorer software，the GPIO can only be set to high/low，so a signal generator may be needed to generate the PWM pulse.

Look like USB2ANY is not a good choice although I have ordered it from TI. Can MSP432E401Y replace MSP-EXP432P401R in terms of  working with LM36010EVM? Thanks,

Actually，you can choose any MCU with I2C control to evaluate the board，but I cannot make sure that the LM36010 GUI software can work properly on E401Y launch pad，and you need to coding it by yourself.

I connected USB2ANY to LM36010 demo board, yet, I am not able to use LM36010EVM software to read/write LM36010 registers. May I know what I need to do to make LM36010EVM software to work together with USB2ANY at least to read/write registers? Thanks.

I tried USB2ANY explorer.  USB2ANY explorer 2.7.0.0 is downloaded. When I try to run USB2ANY explorer, it says I need to update firmware. I followed steps as instructed, yet, after started updating for some time, it says update failed.  USB2ANY is listed in USB device as : 

I am using windows 11.

The update may need to unplug and the connector and plug it again with pressing the button.

Only in this way it can be updated successfully.

My computer is windowns 10 home edition.  Does the latest USB2ANY exploere latest version 2.7.0.5  work on windowns 10 home edition?  if not, would you like to email me an older version that work with windows 10 home edition? Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. I tried the settings. It still does not work. Please see attached screen shots for both address of 0x64 and 0x63  in case there is some mistake in LM36010 data sheet.

The connection is simple. GND to GND, SCL to SCL, SDA to SDA. Is there power sequence preference, USB2ANY plug in first or power for LM36010EVM first? Somehow, I am not able to paste picture today.

They were powered up before I clicked sending data. I tried hardware on another computer with windows 11, it works. That computer has the same model and same windows version as my computer.  I would like to know what could be the problem causing USB2ANY only works on another same computer.

It is hard to locate what's the problem of your computer.

And I have another solution for you, considering the LM36010 is a very simple device and with only 1 command it can be lighted up.

So, do you have another interface adapter can generate the standard I2C signal? 

Or you can try with MSP430F5529 launchpad, I can send you the related reference code.

I did try another  device that can  send I2C command and LM36010EVM can work with it. Looks like USB2ANY has problem running on my computer.  I will start the USB2ANY return process. Thank you.
