LM5046EVAL: Aux2 , Aux1 Inductor , Driver and Opto alternatives.

Part Number: LM5046EVAL

Hi team ,

I've some questions.

1-) In the main design of "LM5046EVAL" there is a digital isolator and low side driver for SR Rect. so i have used a UCC21220ADR for SR rectification like the figure below.  Do you think its ok?

2-) İn the main design of "LM5046EVAL" there is a second auxiliary for supplying the IC's at the Secondary Side . Instead of the aux coil, I used an LDO wich fed directly from the main output.
 ( "TPS70933DRVR" ) . Do you think its ok for supplying the IC's at the secondary side.

3-) also my feedback komponents are like the figure below what do you think? There are many different things like compared with the EVM.

Thanks.

  • Hello,

    Here are my comments to your questions.

    1. ok to use isolator: UCC21220ADR

    2. if coil is used, the driver on the secondary side always has power for driver. In your way, there is no power for driver at the start up;

    3. It works fine.

    Regards,
