BQ34Z100: Ra Tables

Customer question on BQ34z100:

- The BQ chip provides two sets of Ra Tables, with 15 entries each, but these values are only of the ‘num’ type. How are these values converted into a real impedance or resistance values?

- When is this table updated? The manual says it is updated during runtime, but under which specific circumstances?

Our customer is very much interested in having a continuous update of the impedance of the battery pack during charge and discharge phases.

    Hi Dardan, 

    1- Please ignore the num as resistances are in m-Ohms.

    2- The resistance table is updated during discharge only. They do not update during charge. This cannot be changed, it is fixed in the Impedance Track algorithm.
