TPS4H000-Q1: Current sense range and limit setting

Part Number: TPS4H000-Q1

HI~

1. Is the CL setting of the TPS4H000-Q1 element the sum of the current from OUT1 to 4?

2. A reverse voltage prevention circuit was applied to the GND side of the main power circuit using an N-channel FET.

    In this case, isn't there a need to apply Reverse current external protection?

  [ TPS4H000-Q1 datasheet ]                                         [ Main power reverse protecion circuit ]

3. When 10mA flows through the load, a CS signal is input as shown below. What causes this waveform to occur?

* HW config

   - CS range 30mA, RCS --> 10K

   - CL 200mA , RCL --> 1.2K

Thanks.

  • Hi Junehee,

    1. The current limit setting is per channel.

    2. If there is no risk of reverse polarity, then a GND network is not necessary.

    3. At 10mA, the accuracy is potentially +-15%. Please also check to see that the current through the FET is not behaving similarly. Further more, please test this device with real loads as eloads can affect the functionality.

    Thanks,

    Shreyas
