TPS7B7702-Q1: Does device independence control UVLO?

Part Number: TPS7B7702-Q1

Hi Expert

customer have two question as below:

1. Do device independence control UVLO, output short, reverse voltage protection? if device one channel have fault, Is it influence another channels output?

2.  customer unused current sensors so the pull Sense EN high, Sense SEL float and Sense 1.2 tie to GND. Is it okay? if customer want to combine Sense SEL and Sense 1.2 resister to GND is it okay?

  • Hi Meng Liu,

Thank you for the question. Each device channel is independent of one another. If one channel has a fault, it does not mean that the other channel will have a fault.

It is advised to connect the Sense_SEL pin to GND instead of leaving it floating.

SENSE 1,2 to GND is okay.

SENSE_SEL doesn't need a resistor, it is CH1 when "low" and CH2 when "high".

For more clarification, are you asking if you can use one resistor for SENSE1 and SENSE2?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you,

    Josh Nachassi

  • Hi Nachassi

Thanks for your help and SEL doesn't need resistor, so my question is unreasonable.
