TPS25947: Requirements 62368-1 eFuse certification

Part Number: TPS25947

Hi,

the 62368-1 test reports of TPS25947 and TPS26635 state something about usage with a LPS (on page 9). A LPS power source has very similar limits to a PS2 source. Does this mean that both eFuses cannot be used to "create" a PS2 source as they themselves must be supplied by a LPS? Are they only useable as an 62368 eFuse to derive a PS1 supply from a LPS?

Additionally there is a requirement concerning the "supply conn. type" and Mains connection. In a different standard there is a similar rating which only prohibits the use in a mains connected power supply itself, but it is allowed to use at later stages in the product. In which way does this restrict the 62368-1 eFuse certification? Is this only vaild if used somewehere in a device that is purely battery powered? Even charging via a mains connected supply would void the 62368 certification?
