TPS25947: About recommended operating conditions for VITIMER and VDVDT

Part Number: TPS25947

Hello,

I would like to ask you about the recommended operating conditions for VITIMER and VDVDT.
(Question 1)
VITIMER is specified at MIN=4V under recommended operating conditions.
What is the reason for specifying MIN instead of MAX?
Or is it because it recommends operation within the 4V range, regardless of MAX and MIN?
(Question 2)
VDVDT is specified at MIN=VIN+5V under recommended operating conditions.
As above, why is it specified as MIN instead of MAX?

Best regards,

  • Hi Kaji,

Those ratings are caps rating and not the pin rating. DVDT and ITIMER are output pins that have voltages limited form inside.

    1. Since dvdt pin can give max voltage as VIN+5, so dvdt cap should be able to handle minimum VIN+5.

    2. Similarly ITIMER pin can max go up to 2.7V . So I think we added some margin and recommended ITIMER cap to handle minimum 4V.
