BQ35100: bq35100

Part Number: BQ35100

My application contains a primary battery pack, consisting of 6 PARALLEL CELLS of Li-SoCl2 battery.

I want to monitor the battery pack and understand a while before that the pack is reaching it's end-of service.

As such, I need to verify with you that the BQ35100 (fuel gauge and end-of-service monitor) can do the job

with a pack of 6  Li-SoCl2 batteries connected in parallel?

If the answer is positive I'll appreciate any redirection to the right documentation.

Best regards,

Moshe Shvadron

  • Hello Moshe,

The number of parallel cells does not change the behavior of the gauge in EOS mode, the same criteria is still required (load must cause 100mV drop for at least 100ms as specified in our documentation)

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
