What is the input bias current at 12V into the IN+ pin. Is this purely the pull down resistor or is there further leakage into the pin logic?

Hi Sonia,
The IN+ bias current is just the pull-down resistor. Per datasheet, the supply current includes the sum of quiescent current, average Iout current from switching, and current related to pullup resistors on an unused pin.
Thanks,
Rubas
Thank you, Rubas,
Part UCC27516 is not being used in in a continuous switching application. Consequently, any quiescent current is very critical.
We are expecting some kind of bias current, even though very small. Could you please confirm the value of this bias current?
With kind regards,
Sonia
Hi Sonia,
Any stray bias current in the IN+ pin that may exist is very negligible, as the pull-down resistor heavily dominates it. It's to the point where a slight variation in the resistor value has a larger impact on current than those stray bias currents. Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Rubas
Thank you Rubas,
Would it be possible to get an indication of the value of that bias current? Is it in the order of 5 to 10uA? or lower?
Thank you very much,
Sonia
