Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB564, TPS65987
Hi Support-Team,
I’m using TPS65987 + TUSB546 on the source-side and TPS65987 + TUSB564 on the sink-side in a DP-alternate set-up with USB 3 + 2Lane DP
My current understanding regarding DP-HPD on the sink-side and the source-side is as follows:
Sink-side
The DP-HPD signal is connected to pin-30 of TPS65987 and then “transmitted” over the the CC-lines to the source
Additionally the DP-HPD signal is also connected to pin-32 of the TUSB564
Source side
The DP-HPD signal is “received” over CC-lines by the TPS65987 and provided on pin-30 of
Additionally the DP-HPD signal is also provided by the TUSB546 on pin-32
Is this correct?
If it is, would it be sufficient to use either TPS65987 to TPS65987 or TUSB564 to TUSB546 for transferring the DP-HPD signal?
