The Gauge reported a successful learningcycle.
I Tried to create a Golden image. If everi checkbox at the file types was set, it caused at the end of the readout an error: Flash reading error.

I uncheked every box except on. Did this for each file type and it worked.

Afterwards i tried to apply the image to another Gauge. After appieing the image i tried to charge the Battery. But the Gauge immediatley closed the charge FET.

Since then i tried even to Flash the FW of the Gauge, but the behavior is still the same. It blocks charging immediatley.

Can you help me with that?

Update: the gauge enables charging @4A but we need 6A. The Charge/discharge Current limit is set to 20.000 mA.

Hello M Schneider,

What version of bqStudio are you using? Additionally, are you setting the charge/discharge current limit to 20 mA or 20 A?

Can you please send me the gg file? To export the gg file you will need to go to Data Memory in bqStudio then go to export.

Dear Jonny,

GG file attached.
What we recognized so far in the behaviour of the gauge:

With the 2 mOhm shunt it cutted the discharge at 3,5A
We replaced the shunt by 1mOhm, now it cuts at 7A which is still not what is set in the settings by us.
We can set the OCD and OCC, but over 7A with the 1mOhm shunt it has no effect. Setting OCC OCD below 7A the Gauge closes the fat if the treshold is reached.
bqStudio version: Version : 1.3.123 Build 1

Any Idea how we can get higher than 7A?

Hello Martin,

When you upload the golden image to another gauge you will need to reprogram the protections, as the protection settings are not saved in the golden image file. You might be having this issue because when you upload the golden image to another device, the device still has its default settings for the protections, so you are tripping the default protections. Please refer to the E2E thread for how to program the protections in production here.
