Dear TI team,
We are looking Li-ion (all type of Li-ion) battery charger ICs( buck-boost, any special battery charger Ics) for below broad specification.
Input voltage range: 8V to 100V
Output voltage range: 12V to 56V
Output current: 1A to 60 or 80A ( continuous)
Feature: Constant current, constant voltage, trickle charging if any advanced feature available.
Good to have feature: Over temperature, Over current, Over voltage, Shot-Ground, Reverse current protection etc.

Requesting TI team, kindly suggest us which ICs is suitable for our requirement from you catalog & also please share if any such similar system already design available in you system for reference purpose.

Hi Shankar,

The closest charger that we can offer is BQ25756 which provides up to 20A of charge current and supports up to 70V on the input and output.

Sure, we will check this (BQ25756), but as we mentioned, the required current is 60A to 80A.
So you don't have any such high current control ICs Or any reference design using any TI Ics?

Hello Shankar,

The BQ25756 is the highest current charge controller our group offers. The BQ25756 IC can work in parallel independently of each other. This will allow for up to 40A of charging current.

What is your application here?

Hello Shankar,

1. You can check the layout in the EVM User's Guide. You can check the layout guidelines in the BQ25756 schematic checklist. Let me know if you would also like the ODB++ files.

2. We do not have a reference design for that.

Hi Ethan,
1) We had checked EVM User guide but nor available BQ25756 Gerber file (Only images are available). Could you please share Gerber file ? This is really important for us.
2) Noted, But as you said parallel we can use but how the current will distribute between two boards?

Hello Shankar,

1. Here are the ODB++ Files.BQ25756_ODB++.zip

2. During fast charge, current will distribute evenly across the boards. During constant voltage mode, one charger will gradually reach termination and then the next charger will terminate.

Thanks for 2nd point.
Regarding 1st point : I think there is misunderstand what we want and what you have shared.
We need BQ25756 EVM board PCB layout files (i.e EVM layout gerber file/ Altium layout file etc). I hope this is clear to you.
Could you please share the same.

Sorry for the confusion. The ODB++ files are the layout files we used for the board.
